With the USTA $50,000 Stockton women's event in action, the US Open Wild Card Challenge is underway.
In the US Open Wild Card Challenge, the American man and American woman who earn the most ATP World Tour and WTA ranking points at select USTA Pro Circuit hard-court events will receive wild cards to compete in the US Open main draw. The 2016 US Open Wild Card Challenge consists of the following events:
USTA Pro Circuit Men’s Events:
$50,000 Binghamton, N. Y. (week of July 18)
$50,000 Lexington, Ky. (week of July 25)
$100,000 Aptos, Calif. (week of Aug. 8)
USTA Pro Circuit Women’s Events:
$50,000 Stockton, Calif. (week of July 11)
$50,000 Sacramento, Calif. (week of July 18)
$50,000 Lexington, Ky. (week of July 25)
Sekou Bangoura, Stefan Kozlov, Mitchell Krueger, Michael Mmoh, Daniel Nguyen, Tommy Paul, Noah Rubin and Tennys Sandgren are competing for the Men. While Kristie Ahn, Robin Anderson, Cici Bellis, Jamie Loeb, Grace Min, Asia Muhammad, Taylor Townsend and Sachia Vickery are competing for the Women.
