(FILA Global) - FILA sponsored tennis athletes will debut two traditionally-inspired tennis collections on-court in New York City at the end of August. Both the women’s Heritage and men’s Legends collections feature a combination of classic FILA themes and colors, with a variety of new and traditional signature silhouettes.
WOMEN’S HERITAGE COLLECTION
The FILA Women’s Heritage Collection, which features shimmering stars and glamorous stripes, is inspired by on-court looks of yesteryear. It will be worn in New York by female FILA's female sponsored tennis athletes such as Ashleigh Barty, Karolina Pliskova and Timea Babos. The collection, which boasts FILA’s iconic red, white and blue color palette, includes a beautiful selection of racerback, t-back and sleeveless tanks, as wells as a traditional five button polo and a flattering cap sleeve top. These tops pair nicely with the Heritage Colorblocked Skort, Heritage Flirty Skort and Heritage Pleated Skort, all of which feature Premium Plus Jersey Performance fabric.
While the chic button down jacket introduces a new silhouette for FILA and the Heritage Sparkle Dress truly does sparkle, the real star of the collection is the Heritage Star Dress, inspired by a similar 2003 FILA New York City showstopper. The Heritage Star Dress features a shimmery, breathable fabric that shines as it moves, keeping spectators mesmerized across the court.
MEN’S LEGENDS COLLECTION
The FILA Men’s Legends Collection will be worn in New York by FILA's male sponsored tennis athletes such as Marin Cilic, John Isner, Sam Querrey, and Diego Schwartzman. The Legends Collection features a handsome color combination of saturated green contrasted by gray and white, a nod to the FILA archives. The collection boasts pinhole mesh ventilation, high-performance articulated shoulder seams, side seams, draw cords and zippers in contrasting colors.
The Legends Collection offers two short sleeve crew styles, two polo style shirts and a long sleeve crew; each top pairs with the Legends Short, available in both gray and white. Among the collection's standout design elements is a stripe pattern in green and varying shades of gray, available in crew neck and polo shirt styles. Both the Legends Pant and matching Legends Jacket come in a tech French terry, ideal for training and tournament play alike. All pieces display silicone F-Box transfer logos.
AXILUS ENERGIZED LIMITED EDITION PRO 1
All FILA tennis athletes, male and female, will wear the Axilus Energized Limited Edition Pro 1 shoes, specially designed to match the Women’s Heritage and Men’s Legends collections. The women’s shoe features a navy and white star pattern with a red sole, while the men’s shoe matches the green and grays sublimated stripe featured in the Legends Collection. A very limited number of pairs of the Axilus Energized Limited Edition Pro 1 shoes in these patterns, with its specially placed F-Box logo, are available at select tennis retailers nationwide.
